On December 10th, 2019, Sigmund Groven was the surprise guest soloist at The Band of His Majesty the King’s Guard’s private concert for the staff of the Royal Palace in Oslo. The concert took place at Queen Sonja Art Stable, and was conducted by Major Bjørn Bogetvedt.
Sigmund performed the harmonica solo on En stjerne skinner i natt, a Norwegian Christmas song originally recorded by Oslo Gospel Choir in 1992. The recorded version of the song can be heard on the new Royal Band CD, God jul skal være.
