In 2003, Sigmund became the unfortunate victim of a robbery. While adjusting items in his car’s trunk, just outside his apartment in Oslo, a person snatched a backpack placed on the sidewalk. The backpack held a case with two custom made harmonicas, both with Sigmund’s name on them. Sigmund reported the theft to the police, and in the report the two instruments were valued at 150.000 NOK (around 20.000 USD). The case also held spare parts and tools. -The instruments are the best on the market. They are going to be difficult to sell on, but are valuable to me in my job, every day, Sigmund said to the newspaper Dagbladet. Fortunately, the instruments were later found and delivered back to Sigmund.
